We are pleased to announce that Igrox helped to ensure that trains were not delayed on the main railway line from Peterborough to London, Liverpool Street.
Igrox’s property renovation & preservation team were called in by Network Rail & May Gurney to work with the main contractor, Colt Industrial Services at the Bury St. Edmunds Railway Station.
A potential problem had arisen at the signal supply point which was located in a railway arch, built into the embankment, under the platform. Serious water penetration had been detected which could have caused problems with the emergency signal controls back-up generator.
The problem was averted by Igrox lining the whole construction with a BLG membrane cavity drain system; this would ensure a dry signal supply point which complies with BS 8102 Grade 1 standards.
The project was completed on time and on budget and is covered by our standard guarantee and a GPI 10 year Insurance Backed Guarantee. You could say Igrox created a ‘platform for success’.
