WORKING together with Developers Sailbridge Developments, of Oldham, Professional Remedial Services (PRS) have played a major role in creating a development of stunning apartments in the picturesque village of Golcar, situated at the end of the stunningly beautiful Colne Valley.
Qualified structural waterproofing and remedial Surveyors from PRS undertook a full inspection and produced a complete specification for the tanking to the basement and ground retaining walls of the three adjoining properties – Albion and East Mills and The Cottages. With walls exposed to the elements for many years there was a need for timber preservation and Damp-proofing to the ground floor walls.
The Heritage Mills nestle on the slopes of the Pennines in Golcar - pronounced Gowker by those locals - above Huddersfield. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Golcar is renowned for its weavers’ cottages and all the work had to be sympathetic with the ambience of the area.
